Why don't you have a pastor? That's a good question.  Sometimes people wonder why we don't seem to have a pastor who leads the fellowship. Actually, Westside Bible Fellowship does have pastors.  The church is led by a team of elders who serve as pastors or spiritual shepherds. This is an intentional decision based on our careful study of the New Testament. As servant leaders, the elders are responsible to oversee, shepherd and lead the flock by both example and instruction (Acts 20:17-35). Read the Full Story
Current teaching series: The Acts of the Holy Spirit In our Sunday morning Family Bible Hour we're in a teaching series based on chapters 21-28 of the Book of the Acts.  In chapter 20 the apostle Paul finished his third missionary journey during which he traveled from city to city to encourage the churches he had already established. The final section of this exciting book tells the story of Paul's trip to Jerusalem.  He was attacked by an angry Jewish mob but was rescued and held in prison until he exercised his right as a Roman citizen to appeal to the Roman Emperor in Rome.  Read the Full Story
Nursery care on Sunday mornings Westside provides a safe and well-equipped nursery for infants and toddlers up through age 3 during both of our Sunday morning services.  The nursery has separate areas for infants and toddlers and is staffed by trained and caring volunteers.  It is open for both the Lord's Supper and the Family Bible Hour services as well as for some special events. Because of the widespread problem of child abuse in our society, we have implemented a Child Abuse Risk Reduction (CARR) policy in all of our children's programs, including the nursery. BuildingExterior_5We're a fellowship of ordinary folks who believe Jesus Christ is the all-sufficient Savior.

We're "Westside" because we meet in Hillsboro west of Portland, Oregon.

"Bible" is our middle name because we believe the Bible is authoritative and relevant for every situation we may face in this life and the life to come.

We're a "fellowship" because personal relationships are important to us.  We're learning to encourage and serve one another.
